ItвЂ™s as if Julia and Niall are finally recognizing that all of those good memories are fabricated and false. The words what a time are replaced with what a lie. The chorus then repeats twice, but in the last chorus, something different happens. He knows that he and his former lover didnвЂ™t make sense together, but his mind is telling him otherwise as he replays the relationship in his head. And even though the relationship ended badly, Niall is blocking out all the bad memories and focusing on the good and reminiscing on all the good times. In NiallвЂ™s verse, Niall sings about the relationship not ending on good terms and it is tense between Niall and this other person. And let me say that NiallвЂ™s voice has never sounded sweeter than it does in this song. The second verse features One Direction member and now soloist Niall Horan. Julia is looking back at the good memories and reminiscing on that. I think of the night in the park it was getting dark and we stayed up for hours The chorus then lists the memories that Julia and her past lover had together. She continues to say that she thinks about the relationship sometimes even though itвЂ™s over. But she still longs to stay close with this other person in some way. Julia knows that she and her counterpart arenвЂ™t right for each other or maybe the relationship is just falling apart. Many relationships end with the saying вЂњweвЂ™re better off as friendsвЂќ. In the first verse, Julia sings about that anxious feeling after a breakup when you need that person close to you. ItвЂ™s such a complicated feeling and it can be so hard to explain to somebody else, but Julia and Niall have put it into words and it is so beautiful.
